Terms
The ground rules for using this site, calling our lines and booking a call. Short version: use it fairly, the examples are examples, and any paid work gets its own written agreement.

01About these terms
These terms apply when you use penstock.ca, call one of our phone lines, or book a call with Penstock Digital ("Penstock", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship run by Liam Murrin in Chilliwack, BC, Canada. By using the site or our lines, you agree to them.
If you hire us, the work is covered by the written quote or agreement we sign with you. Where that agreement and these terms say different things, the agreement wins.
02Using the site
You're welcome to browse, share links and get in touch. Please don't:
- Use the site, the booking form or our phone lines for anything unlawful, misleading or abusive.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, the booking system or our lines.
- Send automated or bulk requests, scrape the site, or place repeated automated calls to our lines.
- Book calls in someone else's name or with someone else's contact details.
We may block access or cancel bookings that break these rules.
03Our phone lines and the demo
Our lines are answered by virtual assistants that use AI. They tell you so at the start of the call, and calls are recorded and transcribed. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
The demo line answers for a made-up business so you can hear how the service works. Nothing booked, quoted or promised on a demo call is real, and no one will show up. Please don't share sensitive personal or payment information on any call to our lines. Calls may be time-limited, and the lines may sometimes be unavailable.
04Booking a call
Discovery calls are free and come with no obligation. When you book, you agree that we can email and text you about that booking, including a confirmation and a reminder. You can reschedule or cancel using the links we send. If something comes up on our side, we'll let you know and offer another time.
05Examples, numbers and results
The businesses, people, messages, dashboards and numbers in the examples on this site are made up to show how things work. Statistics from other sources are named where they appear and are provided as general information. Results depend on your business, your customers and how you use what we set up, so we can't promise any particular outcome.
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Where we mention rules such as Canada's anti-spam law, it's to explain how we approach the work, not to advise on your situation.
06Working with us
Every project gets a written quote before anything starts. The quote or agreement sets out the scope, fees, monthly plan, term and payment details. A few things hold for all of our work:
- Your business data stays yours. When the work ends, we return or delete it as agreed.
- You approve the messages, scripts and rules that go out under your business's name, and you're responsible for having permission to contact the people they go to. We'll help you set things up with that in mind.
- Software and services from other companies, such as your CRM, accounting or phone provider, are covered by their own terms and are usually billed to you directly.
07Other companies’ tools and links
The site links to and relies on services run by other companies, such as our booking calendar. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or terms, and a link isn't an endorsement.
08Our content
The text, design, animations, code, recordings and logo on this site belong to Penstock Digital unless noted otherwise. You can link to the site and quote short parts with credit. Please don't copy the site or its parts for your own business without our written permission.
09Limits on our responsibility
We work to keep the site and our lines accurate and running, but they're provided "as is" and may contain errors or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, that come from using the site, the demo line or booking a call. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
10Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of British Columbia.
